Update
Maintenance Type: Disruptive – aspects of the service may not be available intermittently or available with reduced functionality and/or performance.

We will perform a disruptive maintenance on Saturday, October 30, 2021 starting 5:00 AM UTC until 9:00 AM UTC (4 hours).

Prior to this maintenance and depending on your environment, you may need to make changes to your STA configuration to ensure continued access to the STA service after this maintenance. Please read the Background section below for important information on what may be required.

Expected Impact: Limited to no availability as detailed below:

I. during the first hour of the maintenance window, expect that the entire service will not be available;

II. starting the second hour through the remainder of the maintenance window, expect that the

a. Authentication Services and Admin Consoles* will be available, while
b. other aspects of the service may be available intermittently or available with reduced functionality and/or performance (End User Services, Push Delivery and Management*).

The service will resume full operation after the maintenance is complete using the new infrastructure.

We will provide updates to this notice as the maintenance progresses.

* For a description of these service components, see the help tips next to each component listed in the About This Site section at the top of the STA Status Dashboard: https://status.sta.safenetid.com/.

Purpose:
Our team is using this maintenance to release STA on the unified cloud architecture as part of the Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure (NGCI) project. When this maintenance is successfully completed, STA will be operating on this new infrastructure.

Background:
As communicated earlier, you may need to complete several actions *before* this maintenance on October 30, 2021 to ensure continued access to the STA service. Depending on your environment and STA configuration, you may need to include new STA IP addresses to your whitelist, remove hardcoded IPs for the “Remote Logging URL” from your DNS host files, and/or whitelist the “From” sending address of the SMTP service configured in STA.

Failing to make these updates as needed will prevent your organization from accessing STA starting October 30, 2021.

A pre go-live document is available that provides information to determine if you need to make any of these changes and the details of those changes. The direct link to that document is available here:
